BAC-Water (Bacteriostatic Water) is a sterile solution of water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is the standard reconstitution solvent for lyophilized research peptides, proteins, and hormones, enabling multiple sterile withdrawals from a single vial without microbial contamination.

Reconstitution Instructions

• Clean the rubber stopper of both the peptide vial and BAC-Water vial with an alcohol swab
• Draw the required volume of BAC-Water into a sterile syringe
• Inject slowly into the lyophilized peptide vial, aiming at the glass wall (not the powder directly)
• Gently swirl — do not shake — until the peptide is fully dissolved
• Store reconstituted peptide at 2–8 °C and use within the manufacturer-recommended timeframe
